Create Bikes

The name says it all, this company sells bikes. But the Create Bikes website is far from simple. The minute you enter the site, the design hits you. It's bold and engaging.

I love the use of colour, bursting out against the darker background, and the contrast between bold and light typefaces. I also really like the subtle use of gradients on the translucent boxes and background image.

There are lovely little details on each page. When your mouse scrolls across the menu options, the bike chain moves too; the pulsating yellow dots on each bike that’s for sale; the rotating headline for each part of the bike when selected; when the cursor moves over the freestyle boxes, they’re quickly filled with yellow lines and then flooded completely with yellow; the use of motion to evoke the feeling of speed, whether it’s the spinning wheel in the background on each page, or the bikes in the picture gallery when they “cycle” into the website.

This is a site you never get bored of, as there is always something new to notice. Definitely have a look!
